In my efforts to assist my friends & co-workers as they were raising money for Special Olympics, I recently held an auction for a portrait session. I was thrilled with the winning bid of $400! Here is what the winning family had to say about their involvement with Special Olympics:
“Bit of background … Special Olympics:
Dad’s cousin had downs syndrome.
Mom’s bucket list includes being a SO coach!
Brother Dan, Sister Mary, and I volunteered at Special Education Prom of McHenry County each year of HS.
I did service learning in college coaching a power wheel chaired soccer league for cp kids.
Ben was the captain of a SO polar plunge team for 3 years! He jumped 3x, I did 2x (preggo with Annie the other year), and each sibling did 1 year too!”
I’ve been privileged to work with this kind & generous family several times & have no words for how excited I am about their fall family session!
In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to share a few photos of the actual Plunge . . . all I can say is brrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
